Marissa Earnest is Senior Vice President, General Counsel − North America Operations, and Secretary of Alcoa Corporation. She provides strategic legal advice on regional operational matters and for the Global Transformation portfolio. Marissa is also responsible for securities, corporate governance, executive compensation, and sustainability reporting matters, and provides advice on transactions, securities offerings, financings, and corporate disclosures.
Previously, Marissa served as Senior Vice President, Chief Governance Counsel, and Secretary of Alcoa since December 2019. She joined Alcoa Inc. in 2016 as Securities and Governance Counsel ahead of the company’s separation and previously held progressive counsel roles at a publicly traded specialty metals manufacturer. She began her legal career in private practice advising public companies on securities, corporate, and M&A matters.
Marissa holds a B.S. in Economics from Penn State and a J.D. from Duquesne University. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and is a member of the Society for Corporate Governance.
