Mr. Field was Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Sims Limited, an Australian-based metal and electronics recycling company, from August 2017 to September 2023. Mr. Field has more than 25 years of experience in the mining, metals and manufacturing sectors. Prior to joining Sims Limited, Mr. Field served in several leadership roles at Asciano Limited, an Australian freight and logistics company. Mr. Field was the Director of Operations, Aluminum at the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) from 2009 to 2010, and prior to that time, served as in several leadership roles at the Rio Tinto Group, including as Chief Operating Officer, Bauxite and Alumina, Pacific Operations and Vice President, Operations at Rio Tinto Alcan.
Mr. Field serves as a non-executive director of BlueScope Steel Limited and Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited. Mr. Field previously served as a non-executive director of Alumina Limited from January to August 2024.
